Clare Smyth MBE
Restaurant - Core by Claire Smyth - London
Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th
Clare Smyth MBE is one of the world's most celebrated chefs and a defining figure in modern gastronomy. As the first and only British female chef to hold three Michelin stars, she has set a new benchmark for excellence with her London restaurant, Core by Clare Smyth.
Raised on a farm in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, Clare's deep connection to nature continues to shape her refined, ingredient-led cooking. She trained in some of the world's most prestigious kitchens, including Alain Ducasse's Le Louis XV in Monaco, before spending 13 years working alongside Gordon Ramsay-ultimately becoming Chef Patron of the three Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
Since opening Core in 2017, Clare has achieved extraordinary acclaim, earning three Michelin stars in just over three years. She has since expanded internationally with Oncore by Clare Smyth in Sydney, and further cemented her reputation with the opening of Corencuopia in London-awarded a Michelin star within months of launch.
Named World's Best Female Chef by The World's 50 Best Restaurants and awarded an MBE for services to hospitality, Clare continues to influence the global culinary landscape. Beyond her restaurants, she mentors emerging talent as President of the Bocuse d'Or UK team and collaborates with leading luxury brands, bringing her signature precision, elegance and innovation to every project.
A true pioneer at the very highest level of the industry, Clare Smyth's presence marks a landmark moment for the festival.
